MMDCEs' Confirmation: Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly Finally Endorsed Mr. Ernest Arthur with 71.4%

Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly Members have finally confirmed the president’s nominee Ernest Arthur as the MCE for Cape coast.


Ernest Arthur managed to reach the two-thirds threshold needed to be confirmed as MCE for Cape Coast after securing 45 YES votes as against 18 NO votes.

The election was the 3rd time after two failed attempts by the president’s nominee to secure two thirds of the votes.

In his acceptance speech, Hon. Ernest Arthur expressed his profound gratitude to almighty God, the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo thanked all those who played various roles to ensure his nomination and confirmation. He admitted that the tasks ahead of him was enormous but promised to work hard.

He was with strong believed that with stakeholders, especially nananom support from Assembly members, hence promised to deliver to the expectation of all.
