NSMQ 2021: St. John’s School Floods Fijai SHS, Ahantaman Girls To Qualify For Next Stage

St. John’s School has qualified for the one-eighth stage of the ongoing National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) after securing a massive win over Ahantaman Girls’ SHS and Fijai SHS.

Right from the beginning of the contest to the end, the school took a comfortable lead ahead of its contenders who trailed with weaker scores.

The first round saw St. John’s School lead with 7 points, while Ahantaman SHS recorded 4 points with Fijai SHS scoring zero.

The Sekondi-based school maintained its top position throughout the five rounds of the competition held on Thursday.

At the end of the contest, with 27 points, St, John’s School booked a place in the one-eighth stage of the competition.

None of the contesting schools could grab the Prudential Life Insurance NSMQ Star award as they all could not attain the full score of 10 points for the Problem of the Day.

Ahantaman Girls’ SHS and Fijai SHS managed to secure 10 points and 6 points, respectively.

The preliminary contest for the Western zone continues with Takoradi SHS, Archbishop Porter Girls’ SHS and Bompeh SHS.
