C/R: DCE Donates Dual Desks To Over 5 Basic Schools In His District
District Chief Executive (DCE) for Gomoa West District in the Central Region, Hon. Bismark Baise Nkum has donated dual desks to five Basic Schools within his District.
According to the DCE, the pass rate for the previous years was not encouraging due to the challenges most of the schools in the Gomoa West District faced.
"The pass rate was 35% but the Assembly in collaboration with the Education Directorate has lay down proper measures to eradicate the challenges as the pass rate has now shoot up to 70% and over," he hinted.
Some of the schools which benefited include Akamu Basic A&B, Akamu Islamic School, Apam Anglican School, Apam Methodist B&C, Gomoa Dago D/A A&B, Gomoa Hweda D/A as he commissioned Teachers quarters' at Gomoa Dago.
Hon Bismark Baisie Nkum promised the final year students to make sure they pass their Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and the office of DCE shall assist them with other important materials, which shall make their learning effective and easily in the Senoir High School (SHS).
"The government has initiated Free SHS policy and my office shall also sponsor students who shall come out with ones in the upcoming BECE with the basic needs."
The beneficiaries also expressed their heartfelt appreciation to Hon Bismark Baisie Nkum, the Assembly and Education Directorate for such kind gesture.
